We had so many new blogs join our Movement Monday Share Day this week! It was nice to see all of you and your creative ideas! If you missed the party, be sure to join us every Monday as we celebrate gross motor movement on Facebook. If you need ideas to get your students, children or patients working on their gross motor skills, you will find a great collection of activities on the page. Here are a few of our favorites from this week!
Sugar Aunts has this simple and fun activity that addresses skills like crossing midline and visual motor integration. And, the best part, it is SO simple!!
Homegrown Friends shared an activity that I think I might enjoy just as much as my kiddos! My son is all about making vehicles out of cardboard boxes right now. Check out the carwash that she created with streamers. So fun for gross motor play, body awareness, proprioceptive input, social skills, etc!
Makeovers and Motherhood offers an amazing way to incorporate gross motor skills into service projects. Shoveling the driveway for a neighbor, delivering items of need to shelters, walking to the mailbox for an elderly neighbor. We loved this!
Of course, these are just a few of the wonderful ideas that were shared. Thank you to all who came by to say hi! We look forward to what you have to show us this week. Don’t forget to visit our Pinterest board where we collect all of the Movement Monday Posts.
