Happy Monday and Merry Christmas from The Inspired Treehouse! Our site was down this past week because we got hit with a “brute force attack”! Yikes, right?!?! It was crazy stressful, but we made it through. And, during that time when we couldn’t blog it up as usual, we got presents wrapped and shopping done, so all is well!
Our kids are finished with school until the new year so now we can turn our focus to family and fun! We will surely be doing some fun gross motor activities to burn up some of the energy that will be charging up our kiddos.
Here are some great physical activities for kids that were shared on our Facebook Page last Monday.
Giselle from Kids Yoga Stories has a monthly series on her blog called “Kids Love Yoga” that features a different pose and shows kids from around the world doing that pose. She posted “How to do Downward Facing Dog Pose” for our Movement Monday share day. Click through to learn all of the amazing benefits of this pose and to see the collage of pictures of all of the kiddos doing the downward dog.
Growing Book by Book shared this super fun literacy activity that was centered around the book “Mr. Willowby’s Christmas Tree”. It includes a video showing a cute song with whole body movements that you can follow along to.
Do you have any fabulous ideas for holiday themed, whole body movement activities? If so, please be sure to share them on our Facebook Page today for Movement Monday! We would love to see your creative ideas for gross motor activities for kids!
Enjoy the holiday season with your family!
