Hello all! Happy Monday! We hope you enjoyed your weekend and that you had some time to get outside and enjoy the fading days of fall if you are here in the States. Our news station reported that there was going to be some lake effect snow this weekend….WHAT?!?!?!?! Not ready for that!
This week at the Treehouse we continued to Spread the Work, Share a book for Sensory Awareness Month. Be sure to check out Claire’s suggestions for creating a positive environment for everyone involved in your playdates. We also showed you a few fun ways to teach your kids their phone numbers and got everyone outside and moving for a game of Ghosts in the Graveyard tag!

THE JENNY EVOLUTION || We love scavenger hunts! They are fun and engaging and can be tweaked so they are appropriate for just about anything from Halloween to Rainbows. Jenny shared her twist on the scavenger hunt with Nature Bingo! Simply head out into your backyard with your little ones and see how many of the items you can find. What a fun way to move!!
3 DINOSAURS || This list of 10+ gross motor books is a great reference when you head to the library. Grab a few of these and encourage your child to move to the action words as they read the story! Be sure to check out all of the links in the post to see all of the movement ideas for each book.
PINK OATMEAL || Have you ever tried a Tabata workout? Tabata workouts are intense, short duration exercises that follow a specific format. It is quick and easy and perfect for getting kids up and moving! Read all about this method of movement and see if you can come up with your own Tabata workouts at home or in your classroom!
