I’m always looking for healthy, fun snacks for kids that my little guys will love, but they sure can be picky eaters when it comes to veggies!
Making it fun and interesting seems to be the best way to get them to eat anything green…and you don’t get much more fun (or any easier!) than these fun snacks that look like a fleet of little sailboats! These would be perfect for a play date or for a transportation or nautical-themed birthday party!
Using fun utensils like toothpicks and dipping veggies into dressing or hummus are great ways to get picky eaters interested!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
-Spinach
-Grape or cherry tomatoes
-Toothpicks
-Hummus or Hidden Valley Greek Yogurt Ranch dressing
WHAT TO DO:
The picture says it all! Cut the tomatoes in half to make little boats and have your child stick a toothpick into each one.
Help him slide a small spinach leaf onto each toothpick for the sail!
HOW TO CHANGE IT UP:
-Another way to get kids to eat veggies? Dip, of course! Set out some salad dressing, veggie dip, or hummus with the little boats to spice things up!
-Make a whole fleet of these little boats for your next party or play group!
