Hello friends! Happy Monday to you all! I hope that you had a fantastic weekend. I spent the weekend in the natatorium for the final swim meet of the season and, while my daughter got a ton of exercise, I hardly moved at all! Have you heard of bleacher butt? Well, I have it!!
I was really excited to be able to browse through all of the gross motor play ideas that you shared on our Facebook page last Monday for some inspiration on how to get moving this week – both with my own kids and with the kids I see at work.
Interestingly enough, we had a few ideas for gross motor play for babies posted and I thought it would be really fun to share with you since we typically tend to bring you ideas for older kids.
First, fellow OT, Rachel from CANDO KIDDO, shared some great ideas for playing with your baby when all they can do is kick and wiggle!! After you check out her ideas, be sure to visit her Etsy shop where she sells her handmade goods for baby!
I loved this post by UNDER GOD’S MIGHTY HAND. What baby/toddler doesn’t love to crawl through a tunnel! Check out the other ideas that Caroline came up with for how to play with a tunnel!
And, this list is AMAZING from KIDS ACTIVITIES BLOG. 30+ Play Ideas for Busy Babies – divided into categories of exploring, problem solving and games, you will find lots and lots of whole body movement ideas for your baby!!
