Hello and Happy FALL — it’s official now, right? The Northeast Ohio weather has definitely taken a turn toward my favorite season! The air is a bit cooler and drier, the leaves have started to change and some have even started to fall. It is time for raking the yard, cozy nighttime bonfires, and yummy pumpkin-scented candles.
Fall is also a wonderful time for outdoor activities: bike rides, soccer games, friday night football, and jumping in big piles of crunchy leaves. What’s your favorite way to get active with your family this time of year? Here are a few fall activities to inspire you from our Facebook Share day last Monday.
Kate from Kitchen Floor Crafts shared the perfect color matching activity for a leaf hunt! Click over to her blog to see what she used for the colors that her kiddos would try to find in nature. My kids would hike for hours if they were doing this activity! BRILLIANT!!
Chanda from Pink Oatmeal shared a great tip for motivating kids to move! An awesome way to work in some auditory feedback during gross motor activities!
And, finally, check out all of Suzy Homeschooler’s great whole body movement activities using clearance priced pool noodles!!
That’s it for this week! Set aside some time this week to do something active with your family! Then, be sure to head on over to Facebook and share it with us!
