Happy Movement Monday….WOW, that week went fast!!! I can’t believe that the 4th of July is right around the corner already! This past week, we had swim meets, softball games, baseball games, soccer games, orthodontist appointments, vacation bible school and our Inspired Treehouse Play Groups! SO, SO BUSY!! I thought summer was for relaxing??!!
It is time again for us to share some of the amazing gross motor activities that were posted on our Facebook page last Monday.
Chanda from PINK OATMEAL shared a great list of milestones that your baby will achieve during the first year of life. Talk about moving!! There is a whole lot of motor development going on in those first 12 months. Check out her free printable reference sheet!
ENCHANTED HOMESCHOOLING MOM shared whole body movements to teach the letter S! Think SNAKE, SNAIL and she even used a SCOOTER. Head on over to her blog to see her great ideas for incorporating gross motor play into learning!
Finally, Amanda at THE EDUCATORS’ SPIN ON IT, posted about several activities to try with a 2-month-old. You will love the ideas she suggests for encouraging movement in a baby so young (such a fun age!).
Thank you to all of you that shared your ideas last week. Now, head on over to our FACEBOOK PAGE and post your ideas for creative, fun, whole body movement. Let’s see how many ideas we can get this week!
