Hello friends. How was your week? We celebrated a 10th birthday at my house…OMG 10!!!! Where has the time gone? Pam had a garage sale — wayyyyy stressful and Claire had a backyard sleepover with 6 (yes 6!) kids — only 2 of which were hers. We have all had a very busy week! In addition to that chaos, we hosted two of our Weekly Play and Learn Groups and had a ton of fun with the activities in the Bug Theme — Feed the Spider, Buggy Imitation, Bug Spray, Baby Bumblebee and more! It’s now time to round-up the whole body movement activities that were shared on our Facebook Page this week.
Remember, we’re looking for GROSS MOTOR activities for Movement Monday – activities that require whole body movement! Think running, jumping, balancing, etc. This week we had one activity that fit the bill…
AFRICA TO AMERICA shared a fantastic article about hiking with kids. She starts by describing how much her daughter has grown to love hiking and then she provides 7 tips for hiking with kids. I love how Carly has personal experience with this and that she offers advice from experience! I wish I lived closer to those beautiful mountains to explore!
Remember, we love to see ALL of your activity ideas – please feel free to share them on our Facebook wall at anytime! But on Mondays, we are specifically looking for ideas that encourage whole body movement through play. Let’s see if we can find some awesome ways to move this week!
