Is your house quiet and empty? Are you done filling every waking minute with some kind of activity so that you don’t hear those dreaded words…”I’m Bored!”? School is in session in our part of Ohio and now, more than ever, these kiddos need to move when they get home!
Don’t miss our Back to School series to learn all about the importance of movement for kids! Be sure to find a super fun movement activity to do this afternoon when those kids get off the bus. Here are some of our favorite ideas from those shared on our Facebook page last week.
PINK STRIPEY SOCKS made a homemade rocket launcher out of just a few things! I LOVE this!! Kids can work on those all-important bilateral coordination skills to shoot their “rocket” off and then run, skip, hop or jump over to pick it up and do it all over again!
KITCHEN FLOOR CRAFTS shared their idea for a hike to find items that would stimulate the 5 senses. You know how we love the Sensory System at The Inspired Treehouse, right? You can do this anywhere with your kiddos and Kate even includes a free printable!
And, finally, Danielle at MOM INSPIRED LIFE shared her learning activity that uses movement to teach the alphabet. This activity is not only great for learning the letters, but also for motor planning, balance and coordination!
Those were the best of the best from last week’s Facebook Share Day for Movement Monday. Head on over and share your awesome whole body movement activities today on our Facebook page!
