When writing a research paper https://lunwenzhushou.net/research-paper-dai-xie/ , there is generally a topic sentence in the paragraph, which can also be called a central sentence. This sentence is used to summarize the central idea of the paragraph. It is a very important sentence in a paragraph. It is also generally the first sentence of a paragraph. It dominates other parts of the paragraph and tells the reader what the paragraph will say next. However, the topic sentence of not all paragraphs is written in the first sentence. Some can be ranked last; some paragraphs can have a transition sentence, and then lead to the topic sentence. Not all paragraphs should have an obvious central sentence to organize them. For example, descriptions and narratives often do not require such a sentence. However, topic sentences that need to be analyzed and demonstrated in the thesis are very necessary. It will help readers see through the difficult logical arguments of the paragraph.
