Welcome back to another post in our Brain Boosters: Active Learning Games for Kids series! On tap today…gross motor fun and math!
Today’s post, Gross Motor and Math: Movement Games to Play While You Wait comes from our friend Erin at Bambini Travel. Erin Buhr is a freelance writer, early childhood educator, and mama to twin four-year-olds. She blogs at Bambini Travel about family travel, children’s books, and preschool activities.
Waiting is one of the hardest skills for kids to learn. As a big fan of family travel, Erin spends an extraordinary amount of time waiting – for trains, airplanes, entrance to museums, etc. – all with two kids who would much rather be moving! Today she shares 5 simple ways to move and practice math concepts while you wait!
Be sure to stop over and check out Bambini Travel and follow Erin on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest to find some great new ideas to try with your kiddos!
These activities will offer practical, tangible tips for parents to target academic concepts through whole body movement and we hope to share as many aspects of learning as we can from preschool through the early elementary years.
