Today’s 10 Days to Conquer workout for kids is a fun one – kids will learn how to finally conquer a somersault!
For some kids, mastering this simple little flip comes naturally…and for other kids, it’s not so simple.
In order to do a somersault, kids have to be comfortable with getting upside down and have to demonstrate enough core strength to keep their bodies tucked into a little ball.
They also have to exert enough leg strength to push themselves off and get the momentum they need to make it all the way up and over!
Finally, good balance helps them keep their bodies centered during the somersault so they don’t roll off to one side or the other. Speaking of balance – here’s a great example of a 3 Point Tip Up (one of the exercises on the printable). Whew! Who knew so much went into a simple forward roll?
Help your little one work up to a somersault with this free printable 10-day workout. Each day, your child can complete the fun and simple activities or exercises, getting him closer and closer to her goal!
Simply print off the workout and get started! You can use the first printable sheet as your guide, or cut out the larger circles on pages 2 and 3, punch a hole in the top of each, and put them on a ring to bring with you on the go!
Share your kids’ hard work and success with us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter using #10daystoconquer!

Hi Liz!
Thank you so much for the nice comment! Love hearing that our mini-workouts will be helpful to your daughter! Let us know when she finally conquers her goals! :)
as a baby cyree could do a somersault mostly by accident. moving to fast off of something and tumble right over but at 7 she can no longer do them but she is definitely working on it. now that she is 7, she is kinda interested in cheerleading..
