Give your kids the ultimate sensory experience! TimberNook is offering camps in two Northeast Ohio locations this summer.
Beginning in June, TimberNook of Greater Cleveland will offer a unique day camp experience for children ages 4-13 that is designed to foster creativity, imagination and independent play in the great outdoors.
TimberNook is an outdoor day camp that integrates sensory experiences, imagination and nature for all kids. Camp directors Rebecca Bowen, speech-language pathologist, and Brenda Richards, occupational therapist, believe in the TimberNook philosophy that the more children engage in self-directed play and take reasonable risks outdoors, the better equipped they are to be successful in their home and school environments.
The TimberNook curriculum weaves the therapeutic benefits of nature together with experiences that inspire children to think creatively, to accept challenges and to learn from mistakes.
Camps start in June at both the Rome and Richfield locations, and a limited number of spaces are available. Visit www.timbernook.com to learn more and to register today!
We’re also happy to share this post, written by Rebecca Bowen for Balanced and Barefoot, about how unrestricted play in nature can facilitate language development. Rebecca Bowen is a speech-language pathologist, camp director at TimberNook of Greater Cleveland, and a regular contributor to The Inspired Treehouse.
