Therapists, teachers, and parents are always on the lookout for simple, engaging activities that create BIG developmental benefits. Our Seasonal Magnet Hunt Printables do exactly that—turning everyday movement into skill-building play that kids absolutely love.
This activity set includes seasonal picture cards (leaves, snowflakes, shamrocks, flowers, and more!) along with matching sorting pages for every season. Simply laminate, cut them out, and tape a small paperclip to the back of each picture so they can be picked up with a magnet.
Kids grab a wand and suddenly… it’s GAME ON. There are SO many ways to play!

These hunts are so much more than entertainment—they’re an awesome way to target:
Fine motor skills (grasping the wand, picking up cards)
Visual scanning and visual discrimination (finding matching pictures by shape/color)
Core strength + balance (as they bend, reach, stretch, climb)
Hand–eye coordination
Motor planning and body awareness
Executive function skills (turn-taking, attention, following directions)
The seasonal theme keeps things fresh and exciting throughout the year. Whether it’s a ghost hunt in October or a shamrock hunt in March, you can easily incorporate these activities into your therapy sessions or classroom routines.
How to Get Started
1 – Print the seasonal cards and matching sheets.
2 – Laminate everything for durability.

6 Fun Ways to Play With Our Magnet Hunt Pages
1. Obstacle Course Hunt
Set up a simple obstacle course in your classroom or therapy space. Hide seasonal cards under cones, inside tunnels, or beside balance beams.
Kids carry a magnet wand as they move through the course, collecting one card per round and matching it to the seasonal sheet at the finish line.
2. Scooter board Search
Hide cards around the room and have kids ride scooter boards to locate them. Once they spot a picture, they reach, stretch, and use their wand to pick it up—then scoot back to match it on the sheet.
3. Color Match Relay
Group activity gold! Place all cards at one end of the room. Split kids into teams and call out a color. Kids race to find a card of that color with their magnet wand and return to match it.
4. Hidden Picture Hunt
Hide cards under beanbags, on shelves, or taped to a chair leg. Kids search the room to discover hidden pictures, using their magnet wand to pull the card up and then match it to the seasonal page.
5. Stair Step Challenge
Place cards at the top of a safe stairway or step platform. Kids climb up, pick up one card, and return to match it.
6. Sensory Bin Station
Place cards in a sensory bin with rice, pom poms, or dried beans. Kids dig with the magnet wand to pull cards out of the bin and then match them to the sheet.
Bonus Ideas
-Keep a set in your calm-down corner as a quiet visual-motor reset
