I think that we can officially say that spring, or summer (it’s been in the mid-80’s here in Cleveland) has officially begun and it is time to get outside and get moving with your kids! If you ask me, there is no better way to work on child development skills while having a BLAST than by getting kids outdoors! Take a bike ride, find a new playground to explore, or go for a swim — well, maybe not a swim outside quite yet…but soon! If you need more motivation and inspiration, check out these awesome ideas that were shared on our Facebook Page last week.
PINK OATMEAL || Chanda has been sharing some great yoga sequences lately and this one is no exception! Visit her site to see how to do Rainforest Yoga. Poses include a Gorilla, Anaconda, Orangutan and more!
EVERY STAR IS DIFFERENT || What better time than now to head outside to start that vegetable garden you’ve always wanted? Get your children involved in gardening with ideas from this post that includes free printables for an inclusive lesson plan. Think of all of the movement involved in planting a garden!!
YOUR THERAPY SOURCE || Does your child dream of being a Superhero??? This free printable teaches them how to move like Superman and teaches action verbs as they play along! Movement and learning — perfect combination!!
Do you have any great ideas for whole body movement that you would like to share with our audience of parents, teachers, therapists, and caregivers? Please be sure to post them on our Facebook page throughout the week.
HAPPY MONDAY!
