It’s throwback time! Today, we are celebrating MOVEMENT MONDAY, the day to inspire parents, teachers, therapists and others to get moving with kids! We are here to help with 3 fabulous activities to do just that.
Typically, we rely on YOU to share your favorite ideas on our Facebook Page every Monday and then, we round-up our favs here at The Inspired Treehouse. But, today, we decided to bring you a few of our own creative gross motor activities from when we were brand new bloggers.
RABBIT HOLE || Imagination is the key in this fun gross motor challenge! Children think it is hilarious to pack themselves into a tight place, especially when they’re trying to get away from a fox! The goal of this game, get into the rabbit hole as tight as you all can before you get caught!!
MAKE ME STRONG || Building muscle can be fun, especially when you have a partner! Yoga for kids is an excellent way to build total body strength. These poses are challenging and require some focus but can be just enough to elicit an uncontrollable giggle fest.
STEPPING STONES || Stepping stones are perfect for tackling all kinds of developmental skills – teaching balance and coordination while providing sensory feedback in the form of proprioceptive and auditory stimulation. See how we use them here!
Ready to move? We hope so! Enjoy your Monday!
