What’s the best part of summer for you? Is it the lazy mornings (my kids are always up before 7), is it the low stress, carefree, play-all-day kind of days (my kids like constant entertainment and need lots of “ideas” as they call them — sometimes stressful for me!), or is it the opportunity to have more time for fun family games and activities (now, THIS, I love!)?
Last week on our Facebook Page, several of you shared ideas for family fun and, since so many of these ideas involved whole body movement, that is the theme of Movement Monday for today!
ENCOURAGE PLAY || Janine shared these activities for outdoor family fun. I think ALL of these are fabulous ideas. Have you tried Geocaching?
CRYSTAL AND CO || This list of lawn games is awesome and they are simple to set up (no tools required), easy to carry from one BBQ to the next, and they are just plain fun! Grab your family and friends and try a little friendly competition with one of these lawn games for summer.
JDANIEL 4’s MOM || Deirdre came up with this idea for creating a batting tee out of objects you probably have lying around your house! Get your child involved in making one of these and then try a family game of tee ball in the front yard! I bet neighbors will come running to join the fun (and admire your creativity!).
I hope this list inspires you to get outside and get moving with your family this week! Do you have favorite family games to share with us? Be sure to head on over to our Facebook Page and share them with our readers!
HAVE A FANTASTIC WEEK!
