When we stumble upon other bloggers and fellow pediatric therapists who share our mission of promoting healthy development for all children, we want to sing their praises from the mountain tops.
Lindsey Lieneck is no exception and she’s here today to talk about calming strategies for kids as part of our Happy New Year, Healthy Kids series.
Lindsey is a pediatric occupational therapist and yoga instructor who has blazed her own trail in the therapy world by creating an amazing therapy and yoga practice called Yogapeutics.
Using aerial yoga for kids along with other therapeutic methods, she teaches children about mind/body connection, creating inner peace, and strategies for success in school and everyday life. Her goal? To make “movement and mindfulness crazypants fun for your kids”.
In short, Lindsey just totally rocks. Do yourself a favor and click through to see some awesome videos about aerial yoga that truly capture the magic of what Lindsey does in her Austin, Texas studio.
We are on a mission to get down to Texas to meet Lindsey in person and to get ourselves airborne on those rad blue yoga hammocks! In the meantime, we’re following along with Lindsey and Yogapeutics on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest! You should too!
