BRRRRRRRRRR…..it is SO cold outside!
We had 2 snow days last week – the perfect opportunity to get moving with some of our 30 Awesome Winter Activities for Kids. But now…it is MORE than time to get back into the scheduled routine around here!
To get through the long, cold days and hang onto some thread of relaxation, I have been relying on some yoga. My kiddos love yoga too and, on these blustery days when the negative windchills make going outside difficult, yoga for kids is the perfect way to work on gross motor development.
Our friend Giselle from Kid’s Yoga Stories always puts together the most creative and fun yoga sequences. She is awesome at putting the poses to different themes and sometimes even books!
We shared her WINTER ACTIVITIES YOGA on our Facebook page for Movement Monday last week and we just had to share it here too!
Along with a HUGE list of winter themed books, you’ll find yoga poses to get your child skiing, skating, sledding and more! You can download a free printable and see images of all of the poses at Kids Yoga Stories!
Have a great time with this activity whether you are freezing in the snow in the Northeast United States or if you are under sunny skies in Australia! Happy Monday everyone!
