Around the holidays, I’m always looking for creative gift wrapping ideas for kids. My little ones love to wrap gifts for their family and friends – some years it’s all about color coordinating. Other years, it’s simply about the personal touch.
However we do it, they enjoy this tradition of creating something special for others. Here are some amazing wrapping ideas we found around the web for you to try with your little ones this season!
Washi Tape on Gifts from The Pink Doormat || When in doubt, get out the washi tape! Let kids go wild creating their own designs all over the package while building grasping skills and fine motor strength! This one is great for even your youngest kiddos! (top left)
Taggy Typography Gift Wrapping Idea from The Inspired Treehouse || Cut out and decorate individual letters to mark a present and make it easily identifiable to the recipient with our taggy typography! (top right)
Snow Daze Wrapping Idea from Parents Magazine || Fine motor skills get a workout as your child uses their super fingers to glue snowballs all over a package! (bottom left)
Perler Bead Christmas Tags from Make and Create || My girls are so excited to wrap their gifts using their Perler Bead like this awesome idea. So CREATIVE! (middle)
Paper Snowflake Toppers from Martha Stewart || Here’s a great way to practice cutting skills while adding a pretty touch to the top of each present! (middle right)
Polka Dot Your Wrapping from The House That Lars Built || Super simple materials and a little fine motor fun add up to create some pretty polka dot wrapping paper! (bottom middle)
Last Minute Knitted Gifts from Joelle Hoverson via STC Craft | Melanie Falick Books || We really can’t think of a prettier or more fun way to help kids practice tying their shoes! Repeated practice with knot-tying like this is awesome for bilateral coordination and lays the groundwork for shoe-tying! You could also try the same idea with rubber bands for some strengthening for kids too! (bottom right)
Fringe Gift Wrap from Willowday || LOVE this idea! Kiddos practice those all-important scissor skills to fringe up a wrapping masterpiece! (not pictured)
Fingerprint Reindeer Gift Wrap from Splash of Something || You may have seen the christmas light craft made of fingerprints, but this fingerprint reinder is pretty darn cute too! Wrap up those gifts in butcher paper or craft paper and let your kiddos go to town creating their own little reindeer! (not pictured)
Easy Gift Wrapping Idea from Big Dot of Happiness || Hand strengthening is fun when you use a circle punch to create a pretty package! (not pictured)
