We had another long weekend at our house! A surprise snow day on Friday and a teacher conference day today meant a 4 day weekend for my kids….AGAIN! I think we may be in school until mid-June to make up for all of these days off.
Not to mention the fact that they may forget what it’s like to go to school for a full week!! Maybe it’s time to start wishing for some warm weather and sun so we can do whole body movement activities like these:
I know, I know, wishful thinking!!
In the meantime….we had some awesome indoor activities that require whole body movement shared on our Facebook Page last week and we wanted to pass them on to you!
I LOVE this idea from Hands On As We Grow! Give a Silly Race a try – make it a fun competition or just a lesson in how things move!
Jodie from Growing Book by Book introduced this movement activity by saying “my kids have so much energy”! Check out her great idea for burning off some energy that incorporates listening and reading!
Have a fantastic week! Be sure to hop on over to Facebook and share your favorite gross motor ideas so that we can include you in next week’s round-up!
Be sure to sign up for our newsletter! You’ll get a weekly roundup of our favorite posts and some of our other favorite finds from around the web – all delivered right to your inbox!
