Happy Spring!! It is official now, right? We’ve had a group of active kids outside after school every night this week until almost 8 o’clock! The scooters are flying, the bikes are racing and the balls are rolling. Such fun! The rain is also falling in northeast Ohio and shoots of green can be spotted popping up in the dirt … promises of pretty flowers to come! We even had a game of Line Tag going yesterday when the driveway finally dried off a bit!
We were so impressed with the number of whole body movement activities that you all shared on our Facebook page this week! It was hard to narrow it down to our favorite three. Here we go:
GROWING PLAY || This was such a cool idea! A coupon book full of springtime fun to get kids moving, playing and learning! Click through for the free download.
HANDS ON AS WE GROW || Jamie shared her idea for making a homemade cornhole game! This game is a party staple around here and a great way to get the kids moving and enjoying some friendly competition.
TOOLS TO GROW || This dynamic duo of pediatric therapists shared their bunny hop game that promotes skills like motor planning, sequencing, turn taking and gross motor ability! Click through to print it out what you need to get started.
Thank you to all of you that shared your activities! Please remember to head on over to Facebook and post your favorites today. Even if you want to post a picture of your child engaging in play that encourages whole body movement, that’s cool too!
HAPPY MONDAY!
