Fine Motor Spring Break Activity Calendar for Kids
Day 1: Crumple and Toss
Rip scrap paper into small pieces, crumple them into balls, and toss them into a bowl or basket. Great for hand strength and coordination! Find more hand strength ideas for kids!
Day 2: Sponge Squeeze Race
Fill a bowl with water and use a sponge to transfer water to another container by squeezing. Strengthens hand muscles!
Day 3: Cotton Swab Tracing
Dip a cotton swab in water and trace letters or shapes on construction paper or a countertop.
Day 4: Pasta Sorting
Sort dry pasta by shape or size using fingers or a spoon for extra coordination practice.
Day 5: Coin Drop
Drop coins into a piggy bank or a slit cut into the top of an empty plastic container to improve coordination.
Day 6: Paper Chain Challenge
Cut paper into strips and make a chain by looping and taping or gluing them together.
Day 7: Sock Matching and Sorting
Match and roll socks into balls to strengthen hands and work on bilateral coordination
Sensory Spring Break Activity Calendar for Kids
Day 1: Couch Cushion Crash
Gather all of the pillows and cushions you can find around the house and place them in a pile on the floor. With supervision, jump off of a chair into the cushions! Find all of our favorite couch cushion games here!
Day 2: Sound Matching Game
Fill small containers with different household items (rice, coins, paper clips) and shake them. Have kids guess what’s inside just by listening! If you like this idea, check out our voice volume game for kids!
Day 3: Flashlight Scavenger Hunt
Turn off the lights and use a flashlight to find objects around the room. Great for visual tracking! Don’t miss our other light and shadow play activities!
Day 4: Sensory Mystery Bag
Place various textured objects (cotton ball, sponge, sandpaper) inside a bag. Have kids feel and guess what each item is!
Day 5: Make Your Own Quiet Space
Use blankets, cushions, and other furniture to create a quiet fort! Add books, paper, crayons, and blocks for quiet play.
Day 6: Wall Pushes and Heavy Work

Gross Motor Spring Break Activity Calendar for Kids
Day 1: DIY Obstacle Course
Use pillows, chairs, and blankets to create a fun course. Crawl under tables, jump over pillows, and balance on a taped line!
Day 2: Stair Climb Challenge
Go up and down stairs in different ways—march, step sideways, or try crawling up!
Day 3: Sock Ball Toss
Roll pairs of socks into balls and toss them into a laundry basket or at a target on the floor or wall.
Day 4: Animal Walks
Bear crawl, crab walk, or frog jump across the room for a fun movement challenge.
Day 5: Balloon Keep-Up
Try to keep a balloon in the air without letting it touch the ground. Use different body parts!
Day 6: Dance Party Freeze
Turn on music and dance! Pause the music randomly—who can freeze the fastest?
Day 7: Hallway Bowling
Set up empty water bottles, plastic cups, or paper towel rolls as pins. Take turns rolling a ball to knock them down!
