Hello everyone and HAPPY MONDAY! If you are in the US, I hope you had a fabulous weekend celebrating with family and friends and that you experienced all things Fourth of July! We are here to round up our favorite gross motor activities from last Monday so that you can be inspired to get your kiddos up, out, and moving!
DABBLING MAMA incorporated bike riding into learning numbers! This is great because movement keeps a child motivated and makes learning so much more fun! And, as Susen says, this method could be used to learn shapes, colors, letters…anything!
ADVENTURES OF ADAM provided an activity based on a book club theme of “Things that Go”. She came up with car ramp painting that had her little boy bending, squatting and running to complete his masterpiece using paint on his car wheels!
Jodie at GROWING BOOK BY BOOK shared a yoga sequence that goes along with the book “A Journey Home from Grandpa’s” by Jemima Lumley. The yoga sequence was developed by one of our favorite contributors here on Movement Monday–Kid’s Yoga Stories. Incorporating movement is such a fun way to read a book!!
These were our favorite gross motor activities that were shared on Facebook last Monday!! Please be sure to head on over and share your ideas today. We would love to see the creative ways that you and your family get moving!
ENJOY YOUR WEEK!
