Healthy Food, Healthy Kids: The Kids Rule Program
Between work, school, sports practices, classes, birthday parties, and school and family events, the schedule at our house can be crazy. You can probably relate!
And for me, as soon as life gets crazy busy, the first thing to go is our diet. My husband and I come home at the end of a long day cranky and tired – and the last thing we feel like doing is cooking a healthy meal for ourselves and our three boys.
Eventually we find that multiple dinners a week are arriving in a flat cardboard box or a paper carry-out bag. And guess what? Those meals only leave us feeling even more tired and cranky.
And then there are the kids. They start getting used to those quick-fix dinners and easy-to-grab packaged snacks too and it’s really hard to get everyone back on track. Add holidays and parties into the mix and we’re pretty much riding a junk food rollercoaster from the sugar highs straight down to the tummy aching lows. Someone help!
